Break a Brainrot Egg Gear Tier List
Movement and contest tools. They do not replace hammers.
Gears unlock in the lobby shop after rebirth. They are why prestige exists. A gear is a tool you equip instead of — or alongside — the loop of walking to eggs. If you equip RPG and forget the hammer, you are not farming. Rank gears for carry speed and hatch contest on a five-player server. Full names come from public beginner lists; later Pets / Chaos patches may add rows.
Published gear names
Speed Coil, Slap, Basic Balloon, Wooden Club, Bee Launcher, Fuse Bomb, Invisibility Cloak, Giant Club, Super Balloons, Petrify, Atomic Disintegrator 3100, Landmine, Body Swap, Snowball Cannon, RPG (Rocket Launcher).
S — take these first
- Speed Coil. Carry time is income. Every second on the path is a second not breaking the next egg. This is the default first buy for a farm account.
- Invisibility Cloak. Steal and anti-steal. If you play the contest mini-game, this is the honest S.
- Slap / Wooden Club / Giant Club. The simple “get off my hatch” cluster. Slap is the early version; Giant Club is the later stick. Rank whichever your rebirth index actually sells.
A — situational and strong
- Super Balloons / Basic Balloon. Vertical and traversal. Useful on cluttered fields and giant egg-ball piles, not on a flat empty strip.
- Fuse Bomb / Landmine / RPG. Area denial around a high-HP egg you started. Friendly fire social problems on a five-player server are real. Use if your lobby is feral.
- Bee Launcher / Snowball Cannon. Ranged poke to tag runners. Fun. Not a hammer.
B — toys with a use
- Petrify. Stops a body. Good if it actually lands in the live patch.
- Body Swap. Chaos button. Hilarious during Admin Abuse, risky when you are holding a Secret.
- Atomic Disintegrator 3100. The name wants to be a hammer. It is still a gear. Do not confuse it with Pirate God.
C — skip until the shop is complete
- Duplicate movement items once Speed Coil already exists.
- Anything you equip and then forget to swap back from, costing a minute of egg time.
- Gear purchases that delay the next real hammer breakpoint on a cash-hammer account. Income still rules; see farm cash.
Rules that keep this list honest
Gears do not change egg loot tables. They do not satisfy rebirth Brainrot requirements. They do not redeem codes. They do survive prestige more often than cash hammers — another reason to prestige into the shop instead of sitting on rebirth 0 with a pretty Clockwork.
If a new Chaos gear appears (the genre loves bee items and event throwables), slot it by the same test: does it shorten carry, or does it win a hatch fight? If neither, it is a museum piece.
Loadouts we actually recommend
- Farm loadout: hammer plus Speed Coil. Swap coil off only to swing if the client forces a single tool.
- Contest loadout: hammer, cloak, slap. You will lose some smash speed and win more hatches on crowded eggs.
- Event loadout: whatever lets you reach the glowing cube first during Admin Abuse. Coil usually still wins.
Do not buy a full shop clear on rebirth 1. Open coil, play an hour, then spend. Gears are a tree, not a checklist stamp.
Controls for swapping tools sit in the controls guide. Mobile players should be extra careful: the action button loves to fire a rocket at the sky when you meant to swing.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
When do gears unlock?
After rebirths. The shop rows open as you prestige. See rebirth.
Is Speed Coil really first?
For farming, yes. Contest players can argue cloak or slap first.
Can gears break eggs faster?
Not the way hammers do. Re-equip your hammer after you finish the gimmick.
Do gears reset on rebirth?
Shop access is the prestige reward. Do not expect cash hammers to be as generous.
