Tags you will hear
Common / low field rolls. First-strip eggs. Fill pads, then replace. They exist so Getting Started has a heartbeat.
Mid tags (Rare / Epic / Legendary language). Used loosely in brainrot games. If the live Index shows those words, treat them as mid ticks. If it does not, ignore YouTubers importing Steal a Brainrot ranks.
Mythic / Godly / Secret. The trophy words in Break a Brainrot Egg video titles (9 Godly, 7 Secrets, 5 Mythic; later 28 Godly and 11 Secret). These are the hunt. They come from high-HP eggs in paid zones, steals, and live luck, not from the Toy hammer on tutorial shells.
Cosmic / OG / Divine. Flex layer. Official art prints DIVINE 0.001% next to pirate and stone golem Brainrots. Sessions talk about Cosmic steals and OG hatches from giant eggs. 0.001% is a thumbnail, not a lab note.

Eggs versus units

How to read a hatch in two seconds
Look at the tick, then the name, then the tag. If the tick is a new plot high, slot it even if the tag looks mid. If the name matches Rebirth, keep it even if the tick looks mid. If only the tag is loud, walk it home anyway and compare on the pad — rainbow text lies more often than the number.
When two hatches fight for one slot, keep the one you cannot farm again this hour (limited, named requirement) over the one you can smash from the next egg.
